Frameless Motor Technology: What, Why and Where It's Ideal
March 05, 2020
2PM - 3PM ET
ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Although housed motors are effective for many applications, they also have limitations: increased size of housing, compliance and torque reduction. Frameless motors provide a solution. In a frameless motor, the rotor and stator of the motor are built directly into the machine with no housing. This construction enables the motor to drive the load directly, maximizing torque. Frameless motors result in significantly smaller devices. They can be used to realize unique configurations, making them a favorite solution for robotics, medical devices, and more.
In this webinar, attendees will learn:
- The basics of frameless motors, including how to size them and whats involved in the installation
- The pros and cons of frameless motors
- Examples of solutions that are well-suited to frameless motors
