The Future of Embedded Vision Systems

July 11, 2017

12:00-1:30 pm EDT

It’s now clear that embedded vision is on its way to becoming a ubiquitous technology.  From automotive safety to retail analytics to trash collection, the ability to deploy visual intelligence at scale is changing industries. Recognizing this opportunity, enabling technology suppliers are introducing new offerings – processors, sensors, algorithms, development tools, services and standards – at an unprecedented rate. In this presentation, Jeff Bier, founder and president of the Embedded Vision Alliance, will provide an update on important recent developments in these technologies.  Jeff will also highlight some of the most interesting and most promising end-products and applications incorporating vision.

The Embedded Vision Alliance is a worldwide industry partnership of technology providers that enable innovative and practical applications for computer vision. The Alliance provides numerous resources for product creators who seek to add vision to their products, including a hands-on training class in the use of TensorFlow for vision applications and a new Alliance program, the Vision Accelerator Program, to help companies quickly understand and navigate the technical and business complexity of incorporating visual perception capabilities. Visit this website for information about these programs and for other Alliance resources.
