Prof. Carsten Steger joins DAGM Technical Committee
MVTec Software GmbH Posted 10/31/2013Professor Carsten Steger, Research & Development Director at MVTec Software GmbH, Munich, was unanimously elected into the Technical Committee of the German Association for Pattern Recognition (DAGM).

"We are pleased to see that Professor Steger's competence in research on machine vision qualified him to become part of the DAGM committee."
Professor Doctor Carsten Steger is co-owner of the MVTec Software GmbH, founded in 1996. From beginning, Steger has been in charge of research and development at MVTec. From 1987 until 1993, he studied computer science at Technische Universitte Munchen (TUM) and received his Ph. D. in 1998. Since 2000, he has given lectures and practical courses on machine vision. In 2011, he was appointed a TUM adjunct professor for the field of computer vision.
