PPT VISION Receives Large IMPACT™ Machine Vision System Order

MINNEAPOLIS, January 28, 2004 / PR Newswire / -- PPT VISION, Inc. (Nasdaq: PPTV) announced today the receipt of an order exceeding $900,000 for its IMPACT machine vision systems from a leading manufacturer of products used in the electronics and semiconductor industries. This long-term customer of PPT VISION, Inc. is upgrading many if its existing production lines to incorporate IMPACT machine visions systems as part of a program to improve productivity. The IMPACT units will be shipped evenly on a monthly basis over the next year.
