AIA Posted 01/27/2006
ANN ARBOR, Michigan, January 27, 2006 – North America’s only trade associations dedicated solely to machine vision and robots (AIA and RIA), announce a new administrator for member services: Ms. Saroj Motwani. Automated Imaging Association and Robotic Industries Association provide trade association benefits to a growing list of some 500 member companies.
‘‘One of Ms. Motwani’s specialties is extracting efficiencies from a database system (specifically for associations) called iMIS, which we use,’‘ said Executive Vice President, Donald A. Vincent. ‘‘That, and her distinguished background in the association business, gives us much to be excited about as we move into the New Year.’‘
Raised in the Ontario province of Canada, Motwani gained marketing and membership experience at the Canadian Bar Association and at the Human Resources Professionals Association.
‘‘She is now responsible for administering membership services for our two associations, and we will use her background in event planning for special functions like RIA’s annual Robotics Industry Forum (November 8-10, 2006, in Orlando, Florida),’‘ said Vincent. ‘‘We have become very busy with our two growing associations, and Saroj has credentials in promotional and strategic planning, which we are glad to have.’‘
Motwani graduated with honors in the York University program for Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and has a certificate in Managing Marketing as Competitive Intelligence from the University of Toronto. She and her husband live in Novi, Michigan.
Founded in 1984, AIA was organized specifically to promote use of image capture and analysis technology and now represents more than 245 machine vision suppliers, system integrators, users, researchers, and consulting firms from 24 nations.
