Acquisition of Odos Imaging by Rockwell Automation
Odos Imaging, A Rockwell Automation Company Posted 04/05/2018
Odos Imaging Limited (Scotland), a specialist developer and manufacturer of 3D time-of-flight cameras for industrial applications, was wholly acquired by Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and information, on the 1st December 2017.
The acquisition enables Rockwell Automation to strengthen its sensing portfolio and positions it to continue to be the leader in machine safety. Odos Imaging Limited will report into the Architecture & Software (A&S) organization, specifically the Safety, Sensing & Connectivity Business led by Lee Lane, vice president and general manager.
Odos Imaging will continue to market its current portfolio of industrial 3D cameras and support existing customers in their application development from the company’s offices in Edinburgh, Scotland, as well as maintaining participation within the automation community through attendance at trade shows, conferences, and as a member of industry wide organisations.
