AIA Achievement Award - Top Honor in Vision Industry

AIA Achievement Award

The AIA Achievement Award is the vision and imaging industry’s top honor. Since 1991, the AIA has recognized individuals for their leadership and outstanding contributions in promoting market acceptance and growth of industrial and/or scientific imaging. Recipients span the globe and include men and women who have shaped the industry.

Nominations are accepted throughout the year. The awards presentation is held at the annual A3 Business Forum.

Robert Tait is well known in the vision industry having worked with both large organizations and startups for over 35 years. He has served as an active advocate for the concepts of 'Design for Inspection' with talks at both private industry and public forums as well as a long running series of talks on applications for both AIA (CVP) and National Instruments. He has served as an advisor and instructor to many new lighting providers and new users both within his companies and outside. During his time at GE he served a lead role in introducing machine vision to wide applications from healthcare to power generation. Now at Optical Metrology Solutions, he continues to proliferate machine vision knowledge and application techniques through AIA’s CVP program and elsewhere.
