Hello, A question about Telecentric Lens: Can i measure a hole that varies the height from 90 mm to 130 mm and have a diameter of 8 mm with a Telecentric Lens of 16 mm FOV, however, the Object Depth of 2 mm? Because to increase the object depth it is necessary to increase the FOV, however, If the FOV increases, the resolution have to also increase.
Hi Daniel, What's your WD (working distance) and any other limit for the installation? I guess 8mm is the sensor size(1/2 inch). Then the magnification of the telecentric lens is 0.5X, then I can recommend to use MT05-65, MT05-110,MT05-150,MT05-350. Or the HR series MT05-65-HR,MT05-110-HR. It's better we can talk directly to confirm your requirements, to determine the final solutions for you. The DOF of our lens can get to 3mm. PS: FOV increase, resolution decrease actually. We’re looking for a solution to photograph bearings and shafts 7 and 3mm dia respectively after applying grease or adhesive during automated manufacturing. Photographs are close-ups (macros) and require focus stacking. Results are stored for later use in order to diagnose end of line tester and others.
Dear Michael Grunberg, I think we can use CCD with telecentric lens to satisfy your requests. For example, 1/1.8 inch CCD, along with 1x lens to get 7mm view; 1/3 inch CCD along with 2x lens.
