3D Body Scanner - from CAD Construction to Production

The taskNowadays cars are developed under many different aspects. Fuel consumption, image and design are substantial, but there are also other important aspects, for instance, ergonomic interior. Due to VITUS pro it is now possible to scan any person, adapt the scanned data to the human model RAMSIS® and try with this model how this person fits in the car or how it can operate the car already during CAD construction.
Benefit
The designer is able to check, if the seat of the car is adjustable for any person to operate the steering wheel, the pedals as well as all other controls. In addition, VITUS pro is used to collect information about size and shape of the human body. This helps to design cars and interior in correct size for the public. Therefore samples of test ,subjects are scanned in terms. The knowledge of their body ,size and shape helps to compare there findings with the whole customer population. Individual seat adjustment can be done with VITUS pro in combination with RAMSIS®, too.
