New Compact USB 2.0 Camera from IDS

IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH presents a new compact and cost-efficient camera at the VISION 2012 in Stuttgart, Germany. The USB 2 uEye ML camera is extremely rugged yet lightweight and ideally suited for space limited applications. Its lockable USB connector and metal casing ensure secure operation even in extreme industrial environments, eg. metal processing, robotics, electrical and medical engineering. Like all IDS cameras, the new model offers a host of features, including an 8-pin Hirose connector (HR25) with two GPIOs and optically decoupled trigger and strobe I/Os.
The UI-1240ML features e2v’s EV76C560 1.3 Megapixel Global Shutter CMOS sensor. The sensor is available in color, mono and NIR versions. A range of sensor features including Log-Mode, Linescan-Mode and a choice of four Shutter-Modes ensure a brilliant image quality.
