Innovation Firework at IDS
By: IDS Imaging Development Systems, Inc.
IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH premieres a range of new USB 3.0 camera models with next gen sensors from e2v & CMOSIS at VISION 2012. The USB 3 uEye CP camera series was introduced at VISION 2011 & the first 7 camera models include sensors from e2v & Aptina with resolutions from VGA to 5 Megapixel.
Now, IDS is the first manufacturer to integrate e2v’s brand new 2 Megapixel Global Shutter sensor (EV76C570) into a USB 3.0 industrial camera. A real CCD replacement, the UI-3250CP delivers outstanding image quality & high sensitivity. At 60 frames per second at full resolution, the camera is ideal for applications that require fast yet detailed analysis.
With a rich set of smart features, including a Linescan-Mode and Log-Mode, the new model offers excellent image quality even in high dynamic scenes. In addition, 4 shutter modes allow choosing the perfect shutter for every application & offer unknown flexibility if requirements change. Black-level correction is just one more of the outstanding sensor features.
CMOSIS’ 2 (CMV2000) & 4 Megapixel (CMV4000) sensors offer high performance at outstanding speed. New USB 3.0 camera models UI-3360COP & UI-3370CP run at 180 fps & 90 fps & are ideal for applications such as traffic monitoring & inspections within the pharmaceutical, beverage & glass industry. Eight AOIs & multiple HDR modes for up to 90 db allow implementing even the most demanding applications.
Torsten Wiesinger, CEO at IDS outlines: “USB 3.0 as a high speed interface & the new generation of CMOS sensors from e2v & CMOSIS are a perfect match. These sensors allow us to reach yet another milestone in industrial imaging. All 3 sensors deliver CCD image quality combined with the speed based on CMOS technology & in addition a variety of further excellent sensor features”.
