NET has developed with the iCube family a series of compact cameras with CMOS image sensors and USB2.0 interface. iCube supports monochrome and color image sensors, allowing a wide selection of resolutions and selectable frame rates. iCube is offered as small sized and lightweight industrial and board-level version. The CMOS image sensors provide an excellent image quality; but unique is the CMOS image sensor with 1.3MP supporting 25 frames per second and global shutter mode. The user profits of a high image sharpness of fast moving objects. Furthermore the 1.3MP image sensor can also be used as a Line Scan camera to achieve speedier image processing. With the free scalable ROI a position, size and the number of regions of interests (ROIs) can be determined due to the customers’ demands. Fast connection and power via USB ports makes the iCube series to a universal plug and play camera for laptops and PCs. Only a single cable connection, no additional power supply devices and standard cabling provide a flexible solution for fast implementation due to the user friendly interface
