AIA Achievement Award

AIA Achievement Award

The AIA Achievement Award is the vision and imaging industry’s top honor. Since 1991, the AIA has recognized individuals for their leadership and outstanding contributions in promoting market acceptance and growth of industrial and/or scientific imaging. Recipients span the globe and include men and women who have shaped the industry.

Nominations are accepted throughout the year. The awards presentation is held at the annual A3 Business Forum.
 

2013 AIA Achievement Award Winner

Andrew Wilson - AIA Achievement Award WinnerAndrew Wilson is honored for his industry leadership and outstanding contributions to the vision and imaging industry for more than 30 years. Founding editor of Vision Systems Design magazine, Wilson has written numerous technical articles on image processing, machine vision and computer science. By providing readers with specific examples of how such technology can be used in OEM applications, Wilson has strived to show how lighting, computer interfaces, software and displays and other OEM components are used in applications ranging from scientific to industrial machine vision applications. Wilson has a long history in the machine vision industry. In 1982, he was instrumental in launching Electronic Imaging magazine, a publication later purchased by PennWell Corporation.
